Reign in Madness
This song is in the album Iconoclast. For the sake of briefness I will only say that the album topic is society involved in the hasty development of social media and massive networks and how it influences the individuals that partake in those communication modes. Liten Heretic, Bastards of the Machine or Dehumanized for the core of the album tematic.
(Iconoclast is, in christianity, a variant of the cult that prohibits the use of symbols and icons in adulation. In the case of the album the big iconoclast is the massive networks that erase all foundations of identity).
This song in particular could be about comfrontations, in all scales, from repressive behaviour towards big scale wars. In the song the leaders of the comfrontations appears as omnipotents beigns that command mindless masses to fulfill their greedy desires. Maybe an acclaration will be needed, I think the song not only reffer to the State with the centralized power, it reffers to all sources of massive violence, to all who can brainwash the masses and make them kill each other just for a cause that is filled with emptiness. It ends with the narrator surrendering to the worlds conditions, same as 1984.

Set the World on Fire (With Intro: Oculus ex Inferni)
This is my favourite song of the band since ever. With this song I met them and will be the song of my funeral. Is in the album Paradise Lost. The album is slightly based on the John Milton literary masterpiece, album homonimous, Paradise Lost. The Milton verses are about Lucifer confronting God and beign ostracized from Paradise. After his expulsion from Heaven, and beign confined to a horrible place with all his minions, Lucifer tries to embrace his new life and the truth that he will never be able to recover his angelical form and the Heavens beatitude. The story reflects, kind of Divine Comedy, that Lucifer is not that evil, he was trying to reach his place but the almighty expell him to search that place, the place of beign almighty himself. This could be paired to the exit of the Freudian Oedipus Complex, where the individual must search outside the house his exogamic partner beign expelled by the father (God figure), not without a previous rebellion against this. That also could be paired with the individual exit from the adolescence.
Going back to the main topic the instrumental intro called Oculus ex Inferni (A view from hell, seeing from hell, hell´s point of view) tell us about a battle with its composition. The choral section make us think about an epic battle, I´ve not found the lyrics in the choral section but I´ve listen "Venus", Venus is the Morning Star, that one that is being seen even in the dawn. Known in latin language as the "Lucero". Lucifer name is derived from latin translation, Jerome was the first in use this name in his vulgata.
The lyrics depicts a rageful Lucifer, as in the first book of the Paradise Lost. Seeking revenge from beign expelled and confined to a hideous place.

This song is, literally, the Homer´s Odyssey. Shorter, better, with music.

Nevermore
This song is about descending to hell in life. It quotes Dante Alighieri´s Divine Comedy "Abandon all hope all who enter here". It´s about making a stand agains the darkest hours of life with rage.
The music transmit the energy of beign in combat, a death fight. A battle where you can´t be tired or exhaust, where lower the shield or the sword mean beign hit and bleed to death.

Reign in Madness
Esta canción está en el album Iconoclast (Iconoclasta). Para ser breve voy a decir solamente que la temática del album trata sobre las redes sociales masivas y el individuo envuelto en ellas, en como estas lo influencian. Escuchar Heretic, Bastards of the Machine o Dehumanized para un acercamiento más directo a esta temática, debe haber versiones con subtitulos.
(Icononaclasta, historicamente, se conoce al cristiano que está en contra del uso de símbolos o ídolos para identificar elementos de la religión. En el sentido del album nuestro gran iconoclasta es la masividad de la red, que elimina todo anclaje de pertenencia).
Esta canción trata sobre confrotación con tintes bélicos, desde la más pequeña hasta la más masiva guerra. Los que comandan a los que van a enfrentarse aparecen como omnipotentes así como su designio, logrando que la gente se enfrente y se mate. Finalmente el narrador se entrega, se rinde frente a este destino igual que en 1984.
No hay salida, mientras más aprendo menos sé. Debo estar volviéndome loco. Me rindo y me entrego.
Si el mundo es un escenario, solo un desfile, encendé las luces y empezá el espectáculo.

Mi canción preferida de la banda .Con esta canción conocí a Symphony X. Está en el albúm Paradise Lost. Está ligeramente basado en la obra maestra de John Milton, Paraíso Perdido. La obra de Milton trata sobre el exilio de Lucifer del paraíso y su intento de vengarse. Luego de ser condenado al ostracismo es enviado a un lugar oscuro al que debe acostumbrarse, trata de digerir su derrota junto con sus ayudantes e intenta levantar su propio reino, aunque herido en el fondo por la eterna perdida de su estado angelical y su bienaventuranza. El enfrentamiento con Dios y la expulsión que hace de su hijo predilecto puede ser emparejada con la salida del Complejo de Edipo freudiano, dónde el individuo debe buscar su pareja de manera exogámica, luego de ser expulsado por el padre, y formar su propio reino fuera de su pequeño paraíso. Siempre con una rebelión, lo cual también lo asemeja a la salida de la adolescencia.
Volviendo al tema, la introducción de la canción llamada Oculus ex Inferni (Vista desde el infernio, visión inferal, punto de vista desde el infierno) cuenta con su musica sobre una batalla épica, teniendo en cuenta que sería la primer de todas las batallas. En la sección coral, si bien no pude encontrar letra, se escucha la palabra Venus, que es el Lucero en el cielo, la estrella que se ve incluso al amanecer. San Jerónimo es quién introdujo "Lucifer" por "Lucero" en su vulgata, en el Siglo V.
Maldito sean los traidores

Literalmente la Odisea de Homero pero en 20 minutos, más diveritida y con música. La puse con Subtitulos por si quieren experimentar una épica homérica.

Nevermore
Esta canci{on trata sobre descender al infierno en vida. Cita a Dante Alighieri, su Divina Comedia, "Abandonad toda esperanza el que entre aquí". Trata sobre aguantar los embates de la vida, las horas más oscuras. Pararse como un hoplita frente a las horas oscuras de la existencia, con ira.
La música transmite la energía de un combate, una pelea a muerte. Dónde no existe el quedar exausto o el cansarse, dónde bajar la espada o el escudo implica ser herido de muerte.
La mordida venenosa de la serpiente
trae consigo la noche
Atrapado como un ave de presa,
Ahora hay que pagar con el infierno.

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
